This is a simple yet satisfying recipe that can made as a healthy dessert or refreshing snack.

Chai Tea Jelly


  • 4 Tbs gelatin powder
  • 800 ml almond milk
  • 3 Chai tea bags
  • 2 Tbs agave nectar (honey or rice malt syrup)


  1. Place 1⁄4 cup warm water in a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin powder over the water, and stir until dissolved. Set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, bring the almond milk to a simmer over medium heat. Remove from the heat, add the tea bags and agave and let steep for 5 minutes.
  3. Discard the tea bags. Stir in the gelatin mixture until combined. Pour into 4 serving dishes and let set in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.

Dietitians Note

Light soy milk can be used as an alternative to almond milk.
