The Australian Department of Health is currently considering whether Abbott’s Freestyle Libre ‘flash’ glucose monitoring system should be subsidised under the NDSS and they are keen to hear the views of those living with diabetes.
Flash glucose monitoring is a small sensor that you wear just under your skin. It stores your blood glucose levels continuously and you can access them by scanning the sensor whenever you want to.
Submissions are open to people living with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, their families, carers and health professionals.
It is important that the Department of Health hear from members of the DNSW & ACT community about the difference this can make to their lives and we encourage you to make your submission here: http://bit.ly/2tgDMRr
The consultation process closes on 17 July 2017 so please take the time to make a submission today.
