Jack had been struggling to cope with type 1 diabetes. One of the hardest things was that just having an after-school snack meant having more needles. To avoid this, he’d stopped eating and he was losing weight. When an invitation to our DiaBuddies Day – children and family event arrived at Jack’s house it was a turning point for him. Jack met other kids living with diabetes too. He found out he wasn’t alone.
Diabetes can be relentless and life-threatening. Which is why we need your ongoing support. Please help kids like Jack so that they don’t have to tackle diabetes alone.
