Are you new to insulin, or have been on insulin for a while and would like a refresher? This workshop provides you with key information to help you understand insulin, the different products and equipment available, and the importance of looking after your blood glucose levels. At the end of this session you will leave with practical tips and tools that will support you to feel more comfortable and confident in caring for your diabetes.
During this 3 hour session, you will learn about:
- What insulin does in your body and why you need it
- Products, supplies, and storage
- Injection techniques
- Blood glucose monitoring and hypo/hyperglycaemia
- Diabetes and driving
