  • What will my donations be used for?

Your tax-deductible donations will be used to challenge public perceptions about diabetes, advocate for people living with the condition and develop innovative ways of helping them.

For example, we run media campaigns to provide accurate information to the public about the condition in order to reduce stigma. We host family fun days to connect children and families living with diabetes to a community that understands and cares.

Kirsty, whose daughter Molly was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, explains it best:

“I’d like to thank all the supporters of Diabetes NSW & ACT. It’s because of your generosity that they’ve been able to provide us with education programs, DiaBuddies Days, support networks and other initiatives for those diagnosed with type 1 and their carers, teachers and families as well. Without those initiatives we wouldn’t feel as supported and you have certainly changed our lives for the better, so thank you.”
