Our monthly e-newsletters and quarterly forums are a great way to help keep you up-to-date with the latest resource and training offerings, diabetes management education and resources to help support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People living with or at risk of diabetes.  

Bespoke training workshops and education sessions delivered by Diabetes NSW & ACT Health Professionals, are available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Professionals, teams and organisations.

Our Programs

Feltman ® and Feltmum ® Training for Health Workers and Health Professionals

Feltman® and Feltmum® are diabetes education tools developed by the Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health organisation (VACCHO) and Diabetes Victoria. 

The National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS) funds the national rollout of the training resource to provide upskilling and professional development in diabetes to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers, Health Professionals and those working with First Nations communities and clients.  

Feltman® and Feltmum® are registered trademarks of the Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation and Diabetes Victoria.

Health Workers and Health Professionals diabetes education sessions

Diabetes NSW & ACT is available to provide education sessions delivered by our team of health professionals (diabetes educators, dietitians and educators) for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Professionals. Education sessions can cover various aspects of diabetes prevention and management depending on your needs, including blood glucose monitoring, medications, annual cycle of care etc.

Quarterly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Practitioners Forums

Join us in our online quarterly forum for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Professionals who work with First Nations Peoples. 

Forums focus on current diabetes related topics that impact First Nations People. You will hear from experts in the field of research and clinical practice with their advice on how to apply what they have learned, to assist you to support your clients.
