The Diabetes Low Down

Tuesday, 19 March 2019

This week Diabetes Australia in conjunction with state and territory organisations have launched a new campaign ‘The Diabetes Low Down’ to raise awareness of how ‘hypos’ affect people living with type 1 and type 2 diabetes who take insulin.

Called the Diabetes Lowdown, the campaign aims to change perceptions of ‘hypos’ – helping people in the community to  better understand them and letting those who live with them know they’re not alone.

To help us get the word out there we’re asking people to share their hypo story on  Facebook, Instagram  or Twitter via video or photograph holding up a sign describing their hypo feelings #thelowdown2019.  All the posts will be pulled onto the Diabetes Low Down microsite.

Everyone who creates a video post will go into a draw to win one of five $100 Mastercard vouchers.  Check out the conversation and posts so far .

Help us open the discussion about hypos by sharing your story and experience today.  You are not alone.
